Close by are the Caves of Proumeyssac, Font de Gaume and of course the very famous Lascaux, along with many others they all are well worth a visit if pre-history is of interest to you. Along with the museum and history of the Troglodytes at Les Eyzies there is too much for just one visit, you will just have to come back.

Near to the confluence of the Dordogne and Vezere rivers, there is much riverside wandering and picnicking to be done. Hiring a canoe and taking in the views from the river itself is not to be missed. All along the banks of both rivers are many canoe rental spots, and we are here to help if you need advice on which trips may be of interest to you.

A different day a different local market to visit. Sample the local cheeses, taste the local wines and beers. As we welcome each new season we enjoy the new produce it brings. In July and August local villages celebrate summer with evening marches gourmandes. Long tables, local producers cooking local specialities, wonderful aromas, music and dancing are evenings to make memories.

During your stay be sure to take a gentle stroll along the lane to our local honey producers Lionel and Charlotte who will be happy to let you sample their honey and other delicious products.

Within a short drive you can visit local breweries, wine bars, and numerous restaurants. The summer brings with it food trucks and pop up bars and bistros adding to the variety of choice for eating out.  Or if you prefer to stay at Ferme Redouline but do not want to cook you can enjoy a leisurely 5 course meal in our garden, we cater for all dietary requirements.
