  • to Ferme Redouline. In 2008 , by chance, we stumbled across a rambling old farm. We fell in love with it’s abandoned glory and in a fit of madness decided to buy it and so the adventure began to bring it back to life.

    Set in 11 acres of Dordogne valley in the heart of the Perigord Noir, Ferme Redouline is now our very own little corner of the French countryside. It is the perfect 'tranquille' setting for your holiday. Close to the Dordogne river, high above a quiet hamlet Ferme Redouline has 360 degree views of the Dordogne Valley and accross to Chateau Cazenac.

    Close to the village of Le Coux, we are perfectly located for visiting the many beaux villages and chateaux of the Perigord. Being surrounded by breathtaking medieval villages, the area is steeped in history, pre-history and of course is renowned for its gastronomy. Ferme Redouline has been sympathetically renovated and furnished to a high standard offering well equipped spacious living. Outside offers a large 12mx5m saltwater pool which is for your exclusive use.

    From Ferme Redouline you can take a walking route in every direction. Take a walk along our woodland track through the woods to the river or through the neighbouring walnut groves to the other side of the valley. A simple stroll 1 km along the lane to the honey producers Lionel and Charlotte where they are happy to let you sample their delicious products.

    If you are a keen cyclist Kevin can provide you with a variety of cycle routes to suit all abilities.

    We have the flexibility of letting the property with 3 bedrooms, 4 bedrooms or 6 bedrooms.

    However, from Mid July to the end of August we only let the 6 bedroom option which can sleep 12.

    At no time will you be sharing your accommodation with another party, it is yours to enjoy exclusively.

A bit of history…

Ferme Redouline, we believe, was originally a fortified farm with older parts pre dating 16th century. Two imposing Pigeonniers flank the old bread oven house which would have been used to provide bread to the villagers. Your accommodation is in the oldest remaining part of the farm. During our renovations we have tried to keep as many original features as possible.

Terrace and Pool Area…

The 12 metre salt water pool has a graduated depth making it suitable for all ages and abilities. It’s perfect for an early morning swim taking in the scent of the summer lavender and ideally placed to sit in the evening and watch the sun set over the river valley. The terrace is furnished with a comfy ‘salon de jardin’ and loungers. The upper terrace leads to the dining barn and is also furnished with outside lounge furniture and a bbq/plancha. Outdoor games include, badminton, table tennis, Molkky, and boules.

Inside, Ferme Redouline has been furnished and equipped to a high standard making your stay as relaxed and as comfortable as possible. The lounge has three large sofas plus other seating. Logs for the wood burning stove are included, for those cosy cooler evenings. The lounge is equipped with a smart TV and has both French and UK channels. A selection of books and board games are provided.

The dining barn has a full height ceiling and large doors that open up to offer ‘in-door out-door’ dining. The spacious kitchen is equipped with everything you should need for preparing and cooking you meals.

Accommodation…

With thick stone walls, exposed beams, stone floors and woodburning stoves Ferme Redouline has been sympathetically restored and furnished to a high standard, whilst retaining as many original features as possible.

The Bedrooms…

All beds are made up for your arrival with luxury bed linen aiding a relaxed and restful night’s sleep.

Towels are provided. For stays of 10 days or more we provide you with clean towels and sheets after the first week. Pool towels are also provided.

The Master bedroom has an en-suite shower room.

A family shower room serves a double bedroom and twin room bedroom.

The 4 bedroom option has the addition of a a ground floor en-suite twin room.

The 6 bedroom option has the addition of the ground floor en-suite bedroom and a further two king en-suite bedrooms upstairs.

The ground floor bedroom can be a large twin or a super-king bed.
